What do we do?
We have two different opportunities to work with the centre. Firstly through our main programme (Playing for Success) which is after school and also through our daytime activities. Use the links above or below to discover what we do and how to get your school involved.

If you would like to get involved with the centre, or would like to get more information direct from us, head on over to the contact page to see the easiest way for you to get in touch with the centre.

Playing for Success
The Playing for Success initiative, funded through a partnership with the Department for Children, Schools and Families, Sheffield LA and
Sheffield Wednesday, the Playing for Success programme sees the Study Centre providing out of school study support programmes for both Primary and Secondary school pupils.

When do the programmes run? We run 6 full PfS programmes throughout the year each of which offers 20 hours of activity for the pupils.

Transport; Pupils are picked up and dropped off at school by our driver and escort who ensure the pupils get to and from the centre safely.

How much does it cost? To discuss this contact the PfS Co-ordinator Robert Walker.

Do school staff have to attend? It is always an advantage if school staff are able to attend sessions as this provides continuity and a link between school and the centre.

How are the pupils selected?  The afterschool programme is aimed at pupils who can potentially raise their attainment with some extra motivation and inspiration. Playing for Success can tailor the programme to fit in with aspects of your school development plan. Pease discuss and identified focus for your school with the centre co-ordinator. We will provide you with guidance to help you identify the right sort of pupils for the programme.

Day Time Provision
We can offer a range of daytime activity in our well resourced learning environment, which provides opportunities for students to access the latest ICT technology; they can undertake a variety of interactive tasks which are very different to those offered in the school environment including film making, animation and music making. Many activities also provide pupils with the chance to work alongside The players which provides added excitement and can really bring learning to life.
